Sally's Backyard Birds

Gene has been fascinated by hummingbirds forever and spends hours watching and photographing them. We have hundreds of photos on our computers! He keeps saying that he needs to delete some, but he just keeps adding them.

Yes, he can even hold still long enough to have them land on his finger...

and even better, feed from a small feeder held in his mouth!

Yep, that's my macho man!

Recently, we've been watching some much larger birds a few blocks from our house...


These are Turkey Vultures! They hang out on Center Street and 400 East in Provo. There are around 20-30 of them and they sleep in the Sycamore trees. They are really fun to watch because they come soaring in one at a time from every direction.

They are awesome!
