Slug Bug

I hadn't done any yard work all summer and figured it was time to get busy.
I lifted a pot that had been on the north side of the house, upside down for at least a year and found this huge slug!
It was the Queen Slug or something! I scooped it onto a drainage dish and took pictures. :)

I later took it to show my brother Greg ( loves being creeped out).

Then I took it to my neighbors, the Andersons, as an offering to their chickens.

Pretty gross huh!

  1. Slugs gross me out! Blech! We had a couple the first year we lived here and I saw one small one earlier in the summer, but that's it and I hope it stays that way- especially the really big ones!

  3. Sally, You are so nice to nature. I think I would have gone for my kosher salt and buried the slug with a pile of the white stuff. My daughter in law found a green worm about this size on her tomato plant -- we were all sick.
